Tattoo Establishment License

License Application

Any person wanting to open a tattooing establishment in Nassau County must submit a completed application for Tattoo Establishment License and applicable fee to the Florida Department of Health – Nassau County and be granted a license prior to operation. An inspection of the facility is required and must receive a Satisfactory result prior to permit issue. The permit year runs from the date of license issue to one year, minus one day from date of issue. Licenses must be renewed annually; failure to renew on time will result in the assessment of a late fee and/or inactivation of permit.

Temporary Establishment Licensure Requirements

Temporary establishments must meet all the operational requirements of a tattoo establishment, including handsinks, as well as the requirements of section 64E-28.008, F.A.C.

Temporary establishment licenses are issued in conjunction with a convention or other similar event and cannot exceed fourteen (14) consecutive days.
