The Nassau County Dental Program is dedicated to providing essential dental services to children in our community, with some services available for adults.
Our Dental Staff
Our team, including dental assistants, hygienists, and front desk staff, is committed to delivering top-quality dental care for children and adolescents in Nassau County. We encourage families to partner with us to ensure the best dental health for their children.
Services Offered
The DOH-Nassau County Dental Clinic offers comprehensive dental services for children aged 1-20. Each child receives a dental examination and fluoride varnish treatment to prevent early childhood caries. Additionally, parents receive detailed oral hygiene education to help maintain their children's oral health and prevent dental decay.
Children's Dental Services include:
- Dental Examinations
- Prophylaxis (Cleanings)
- Oral Hygiene Instructions
- Dental Sealants
- Dental X-rays
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Nitrous Oxide (if needed)
- Referrals as necessary
Adult Dental Services
Limited services are available for adults (ages 21 and over) enrolled in Medicaid.
