Mobile homes, lodging, recreational vehicle parks, and recreational camps are annually licensed by the Florida Department of Health according to Chapter 64E-15, F.A.C.
Routine inspections cover drinking water, sewage disposal, solid waste disposal, fire protection, and insect and rodent control. New and renovated park plans are reviewed for compliance with state regulations before a permit is issued. Temporary Parks are only permitted during special events like Bike Week and Speed Weeks.
Apply for a Permit
To apply for a new permit:
- Download and complete the application form.
- Submit the form along with the required documents:
- Park plan
- Water system information
- Sewage disposal system information
- Swimming pools information (if any)
- Required permit fee (based on the number of park spaces)
Plans for new parks or camps must be drawn to scale and include:
- Area and dimensions of the tract of land
- Space number or designation
- Location and size of all proposed mobile home, RV, or tent spaces
- Roadways location
- Service buildings location
