Mobile Home Parks, RV Parks and Campgrounds

Mobile homes, lodging, recreational vehicle parks, and recreational camps are annually licensed by the Florida Department of Health according to Chapter 64E-15, F.A.C.

Routine inspections cover drinking water, sewage disposal, solid waste disposal, fire protection, and insect and rodent control. New and renovated park plans are reviewed for compliance with state regulations before a permit is issued. Temporary Parks are only permitted during special events like Bike Week and Speed Weeks.

Apply for a Permit

To apply for a new permit:

  1. Download and complete the application form.
  2. Submit the form along with the required documents:
    • Park plan
    • Water system information
    • Sewage disposal system information
    • Swimming pools information (if any)
    • Required permit fee (based on the number of park spaces)

Plans for new parks or camps must be drawn to scale and include:

  • Area and dimensions of the tract of land
  • Space number or designation
  • Location and size of all proposed mobile home, RV, or tent spaces
  • Roadways location
  • Service buildings location
