The Refugee Health Program works to provide culturally sensitive health services to individuals who have fled their home country due to political, religious, or economic persecution. Our goal is to enhance personal health status and protect Florida’s public health by reviewing overseas medical examination records, providing health assessments, and administering immunizations to refugees.
Services Provided
The Refugee Health Program offers its services through funding from the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement and the Florida Department of Children and Families' Refugee Services.

Program Mission
The mission of the Tuberculosis and Refugee Health Program is to eliminate tuberculosis as a public health threat in Florida and to ensure appropriate public health screenings for all newly arriving refugees.
