Brain Health and Dementia

Florida Department of Health in Nassau County

Healthy Body, Healthy Brain

The Florida Department of Health in Nassau County (DOH-Nassau) has established the Nassau County Healthy Brain Road Map to better promote cognitive functioning, address cognitive impairment, help meet the needs of those with Alzheimer’s or related dementia and their caregivers, and address the impact of brain health, Alzheimer’s disease, and other dementias.

DOH-Nassau works with key community partners to expand our observation lens to support planning, implementation, and evaluation of services to best support needs by:

  • Increased healthy brain and other dementia risk reduction
  • Providing resources for earlier diagnosis and clinical care at all stages of cognitive decline
  • Making our communities more resourceful, friendly, and inclusive of those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia.
