Brain Health and Dementia

Florida Department of Health in Nassau County Community Health Education

DOH-Nassau has established the Nassau County Healthy Brain Road Map to enhance cognitive functioning, address cognitive impairment, support those with Alzheimer's or related dementia and their caregivers, and address the broader impact of brain health, Alzheimer's disease, and other dementias.

DOH-Nassau collaborates with key community partners to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of services by focusing on:

  • Increasing healthy brain and dementia risk reduction.
  • Providing resources for earlier diagnosis and clinical care at all stages of cognitive decline.
  • Making our communities more resourceful, friendly, and inclusive for those impacted by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
